The World Around Me
Everyone can take a picture. True photography is done by artists. This is my attempt at proving myself in the field.

26. November
I bought new batteries for my camera. They support the cure for breast cancer, so you can all be happy. Anyway, I went out and took enough photos to make up for the last two days. And I'm not finished yet. My grandparents are having an "Anything But Turkey" party tonight, so I'll probably be running around taking pictures of their guests and the likes. Also, I'll be trying to take a few more nature pictures until then. I saw this yellow butterfly flying around the front yard, but every time I went to move my camera to it, it would fly off. I guess it's a wee bit camera shy? I'm going to try to get at least one picture of it today. Pictures to be posted later tonight.

25. November
Bad news. Today was a perfect day weather-wise. It was partly cloudy, and instead of raining today it rained last night. So I was all excited to take some more pictures today. I figured out that it wasn't the lack of light that was causing my prolonged shutter exposure, it was the fact that my batteries were in the process of dying. Apparently, they died Wednesday night while my father was using my camera. Which is odd, because the battery icon said they were at full power. They ended up dying on me today, before I could get any pictures. So, this blog will be on hold until I can get some new ones. Not that it matters at this point, I have no followers. I'm basically updating this just for the sake of updating it.

24. November
Today is Thanksgiving. I woke up early to go out and take some more pictures. Ironically, it was too cloudy to take any. My shutter took too long to close because there wasn't enough light for it to close and open quickly enough to capture anything in motion, and I'm not a big fan of still-life photography. I say "ironically" because I live in Arizona, as do my grandparents. It's not supposed to be cloudy or rainy here, except during monsoon season. News forecast says it's going to rain tomorrow, so looks like I'm also out of luck there. Mayhaps I'll be able to do some more work on Saturday? I did get one picture today, however. It's of my mutt running around in the front yard, but because of the lengthy shutter exposure, it isn't a good quality picture. I do think it looks pretty cool, though. She has a ghost-like effect.

23. November
Today, I drove to my grandparents' house for Thanksgiving break. I arrived somewhere around 5pm, so I didn't have much time to go out and tank photographs before the sun receded too much for adequate lighting. I walked around the yard with my mutt(black lab/weimaraner) and took some photographs while letting her run around and use up some of the energy she was storing during the three-ish hour drive here.

This is my first post on this blog. As stated above, this blog is all about me enhancing my photography skills. I'll just be taking random photographs of the world around me. No posing, no fake pictures. Everything I take is life as it is; people, animals, and the like all at their natural state. Any way, on to the pictures.
